Once upon a time, there was a boy named Luca who loved spending his summers at the beach. Every morning, he woke up early, put on his blue striped swimsuit, and ran to the beach with his red bucket.
One day, while walking along the shore, his feet dipping in the cool water, he saw something glittering in the sand. Curiously, he bent down and picked up a smooth, white, shiny shell that seemed to glow as if it held a tiny sun inside.
Luca held it to his ear, as his grandmother had taught him, to listen to the sound of the sea. But what he heard wasn't just the sound of the waves... it was a voice!
“Hi Luca,” said the shell, in a gentle, slightly whispered voice.
“Who… who are you?” stammered the child, surprised.
"I'm Marina, the shell of desire. Every summer, I choose a kind heart to give a little magic."

Luca's eyes widened. "Real magic?"
"Yes," Marina replied. "But it's not about wands or spells. I will give you a more precious gift: the ability to listen."
"Yes," Marina replied. "But it's not about wands or spells. I will give you a more precious gift: the ability to listen."
“Listen?” Luca asked, confused.
"Truly listen to the world around you: the wind telling stories, the waves whispering secrets, the laughter of other children, the silence of the sunset. If you know how to listen, you will discover wonders that others cannot see."
From that day on, Luca carried the shell with him everywhere. He kept it close when he built castles, when he played with friends, and especially when he sat alone gazing out to sea.
And slowly he really learned to listen.
He discovered that every seagull had a different voice, that the sea changed tone depending on its mood, and that even the stars seemed to whisper stories in the night.
One day the shell stopped speaking, but Luca wasn't sad. He had understood that the true magic wasn't in the shell, but in himself: in his ability to observe, to feel, to wonder.
And from that day on, every time someone sat next to him on the beach, Luca smiled and said:
"Do you want me to tell you what the sea told me today?"
"Do you want me to tell you what the sea told me today?"
