At the North Pole lived a little elf named Mirea, famous for a unique gift: she could hear the whispers of the stars. Every night she would go out into the fresh snow, raise her face to the sky, and listen to the wishes of the children who shone among the constellations.
One evening, however, the stars brought her a different message than usual: there was a child who hadn't made a single Christmas wish. His heart seemed silent. Mirea was so worried that she decided to set out immediately to find out the reason. She mounted her little sleigh, left a trail of sparkles behind her, and reached a town lit up by a thousand lights.
The brightest star guided her to the window of a quiet little house. Inside, next to the tree, sat Tommaso, his gaze a little sad. Mirea approached him and asked him gently why he hadn't made a wish. Tommaso, after a moment of silence, confessed that his only true wish was to find his long-lost teddy bear. He was a special friend, full of memories, and he feared he had disappeared forever. That's why he hadn't had the courage to ask for anything.
Mirea listened carefully, then closed her eyes and let the stars guide her once more. With a small leap, she reached the Christmas tree, and through the colored lights, the teddy bear himself emerged, cleaned up and with a new stitching on his belly. Tommaso opened his eyes wide and hugged him tightly, as if he had been gone for years.
"See?" Mirea said, smiling. "Sometimes the most important wishes speak softly, but they're the ones that matter most."
Tommaso thanked her with a heartfelt hug, and Mirea set off again for the North Pole, happy to have given voice to such a delicate dream. It is said that even today, on cold December nights, if you look closely at the sky, you can see a little elf in a green hat listening to the wishes that shine among the stars.
When December arrives, a special magic fills the air. The lights twinkle, the first letters to Santa begin to take shape, and homes fill with anticipation and wonder. But who are the real stars behind all this enchanting Christmas planning? Santa's Elves, of course!
Who are the elves?
Elves are Santa's little helpers, cheerful, curious, and tireless creatures who live at the North Pole. They come to the large workshop where all the gifts for children are prepared. With their pointy hats, frilly shoes, and irresistible smiles, they are the ones who make the magic of the most anticipated night of the year possible.
What do the elves do in the North Pole laboratory?
Each elf has a special role:
-
The builder elvesassemble the most desired toys.
-
The tailor elvesprepare warm and colorful clothes to face the winter at the North Pole.
-
The postal elvescollect and read all the letters sent by the children.
-
The magical elvesensure that everything proceeds according to the true spirit of Christmas: kindness, joy, and a pinch of imagination.
Their work lasts all year round, but it is precisely during this period that the workshop comes alive like a great carousel of colors, laughter and ribbon-wrapped packages.
